My first professional contact with systems administration, as an intern. This is where I learned what writing code does not teach you: that behind a downed server there is someone waiting, and that the configuration inventory stops looking like bureaucracy the day you have to restore something.

Systems and network administration

• Administration, maintenance and support of Windows and Linux server platforms.
• Configuration of disks, filesystems and shared drives, transfer and access services (FTP, SSH, NFS) and DNS management.
• User management at operating-system level, antivirus administration and access policies.
• First contact with lightweight virtualization and application deployment through Docker.

Support, operations and quality

• Diagnosis, resolution and escalation of technical incidents within the agreed service levels.
• Configuration, imaging and software deployment on end-user machines, keeping the configuration inventory (CMDB) up to date.
• Administration of monitoring agents, centralized backup systems, task schedulers and ticketing tools.

Development and automation

• Development and maintenance of ASP.NET 5 applications and web content management with WordPress.
• Automation of routine system tasks through shell scripting.
